Based on its construction and materials, it is believed to date from the late 19th or early 20th century, although purchasers should satisfy themselves as to age and origin.

Constructed in richly figured mahogany veneers with contrasting satinwood banding and a central marquetry urn motif, the cabinet is finished with decorative gilt-brass mounts and topped with its original rouge marble slab. A single drawer sits above a cupboard with generous internal storage and a marble-lined base.

Its compact proportions make it an exceptionally versatile piece, equally suited as a bedside cabinet, hallway cabinet, living room accent piece or decorative side cabinet.
